Comrogen Admin Roles & Permissions

Comrogen has a role based administration system where access to the admin site can be defined by rules and permissions. By default the system includes an Administrators role where any admin user assigned to the role has complete access to any part of the system. Other roles can be created as needed; these roles can be setup to have restricted access to the administration, or only have access to perform certain duties. Comrogen provides a full list of options for each part of the administration and admins can select the permissions they wish to assign to roles. An example of this may be an SEO role where users assigned to this role are only able to view and edit SEO meta tags and other information pertaining to search engine optimization. Any other part of the administration will not be available for them to view or edit, so they will not be able to see orders, change inventory or price, or make changes without sufficient permissions.

The Permissions system extends beyond the administration site and can control access to settings in the API and plugins. An example of this would be tweaking setting for a Quickbooks plugin, where changes to integration may be limited to certain roles in order to prevent mis-configurations from occurring.

New settings for permissions can be added by installing or removing plugins and extensions making the system adapt to new options without requiring source code modifications.
