Promotions System

Comrogen includes a promotions and coupon systems that has popular promotion logics such as:

  • Buy one get one free / get X product free
  • Discount off order (in either dollar amount or percentage)
  • Discount on a certain category of products
  • Free shipping discount
  • Discount on specific products

The promotion system uses a component system whereby new discount logic may be added; e.g. a promotion may be setup where a 5% discount is given to product X if 2 or more items are purchased form the same manufacturer. Examples of custom promotion logic include discounts when buying from a specific warehouse or during certain days of the week; these can be developed for you by your Comrogen development partner.

Promotions can be configured to use a code, or be applied automatically. They can have a start and expiration date, be set to a limited number of uses, and be restricted to certain types of user groups, products, product groups, category, and store level. Promotions can also be setup to be stackable or non-stackable (e.g. can only use 1 coupon at a time).

A quantity discount system is available for stores who wish to offer discounts based on the number of items purchased. Commonly used on B2B sites, quantity discount tables allow admins to set a percentage off or a fixed amount based on the quantity of items purchased. The quantity discount table may be assigned to multiple products, a single table may be assigned to many products.

Comrogen includes support for gift codes and gift balances. The gift system allows customers to purchase items on a gift balance that is set based on the gift code. Purchases deduct from the available balance until the balance is $0.00. During checkout, customers may use gift balance plus regular payments to make purchases; they also have the option of replenishing gift code balance by making new gift purchases.

Comrogen includes support for customer rewards, these are gift code balances that are provided to the customer based on customer purchases and actions. E.g. a site may be set to award customers when they make purchases(e.g. earn 1% in rewards, so a $100 order will provide the user with a $1.00 customer reward). These rewards may be used at checkout (they appear as gift balance). Rewards may be added with other actions, e.g. reviewing products, making repeat purchases, and affiliateships.

Gift Codes may be purchased to send to friends/family, once received the recipient can activate the code and make the balance appear in their account.
